About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid , within the Event Sales Department , the Events Sales Executive is responsible for actively selling the hotel’s event spaces, catering and banquet services, maximising revenue from corporate and social events while delivering outstanding guest experiences from enquiry through to execution.

The role reports to the Events Sales Manager and the Director of Events .

As Events Sales Executive, your main responsibilities will include:

• Responding to event enquiries and converting opportunities into confirmed business.
• Selling meeting spaces, event venues and catering services.
• Preparing proposals, contracts and event documentation.
• Conducting hotel site inspections and client show rounds.
• Coordinating event logistics with operational teams.
• Managing event information within Delphi and company systems.
• Ensuring deposit, billing and payment processes are followed correctly.
• Participating in pre‑event and post‑event meetings.
• Achieving assigned revenue targets.
• Upselling catering packages, accommodation and complementary hotel services.
• Building strong relationships with clients and partners.
• Prospecting new business opportunities and market segments.
• Supporting the department with reporting, forecasting and market intelligence.
• Ensuring all events are delivered according to Mandarin Oriental standards.

As Events Sales Executive, we expect from you:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in luxury hotel event sales.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to build long‑term relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems.
• Knowledge of hospitality and Food & Beverage operations.
• Flexible schedule based on business and event requirements.
• Fluency in Spanish and English .
• Full alignment with Mandarin Oriental values, Pillars and LQEs.
