Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Indirect Tax, Indirect Senior Tax Accountant will be jointly responsible as an individual contributor for overseeing the company’s indirect tax processes, compliance and initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual to make a long-term impact within the organization.What makes this role interesting?Oversee and assume ownership of the indirect tax processes and compliance for global indirect taxes (primarily value-added tax and goods & services tax with exposure to sales and use tax) including compliance with tax filing deadlines and tax calendarMonthly and/or quarterly VAT and GST reporting and compliance including preparation and/or review of EMEA and APAC VAT and GST returns, audit files, EC sales list and intrastatReconciliation of VAT accounts and preparation of annual VAT reconciliations/returns as requiredExecuting indirect tax controls needed for complianceProvision of advice on VAT and GST to the organization as well as ensuring the organization to be up-to-date on changes in VAT and GST legislationSupport implementing the medium and long-term global indirect tax strategy and objectivesAssist Senior Manager of Indirect Tax and VP of Tax in tax planning initiatives and special projectsProvide analysis of specific indirect tax impacts of certain company transactionsCoordinate and support indirect tax audit-responsesMaintain technical proficiency by keeping informed of tax-technical developments, industry trends and indirect tax legislative changes including communicating those changes to key stakeholders and ensuring complianceProactively identify, recommend, and implement process and tax systems improvements for indirect taxes, including automation opportunitiesResponsible for identifying and implementing indirect tax related (optimization) opportunities and medium and long term global indirect tax strategies and objectivesActive communication and cooperation with the accounting team in the Shared Services Center and the IT teamTaking responsibility and ownership of the relationship at appropriate levels in the organizationManage relationships with external advisorsHere’s how you’ll be making an impact:Strong Financial Acumen and business expertiseAdvanced aptitude in problem solving, including the ability to logically structure an appropriate analytical framework.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsStrong strategic agility and capability as well as ability to drive operational excellence - Ability and inclination to roll up sleeves and dig in.
