Paid Search Specialist

Avis Budget Group is looking for a Paid Search Specialist to support the execution and day-to-day management of PPC campaigns for North America. Based in Barcelona, you will work across the US and Canada, spanning multiple lines of business including Car Rental, Truck Rental, and Small Business.Reporting into the Paid Search Team Leader, you will be responsible for hands-on campaign implementation, optimization, and performance reporting. You will play a key role in ensuring campaigns run efficiently and deliver measurable results, while contributing to broader paid search initiatives across the NAM region.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute and manage day-to-day PPC campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads for the US and Canadian markets.Implement campaign changes including ad copy updates, keyword additions and exclusions, bid adjustments, and extension management.Conduct regular Search Query Report (SQR) analysis to identify negative keywords and new search term opportunities.Monitor campaign performance daily, flagging anomalies and escalating issues to the Senior Paid Search Specialist.Build and maintain performance reports, translating data into clear, actionable insights for internal stakeholders.Support A/B testing of ad copy, landing pages, and targeting parameters, documenting results and recommendations.Assist with audience management, including remarketing lists and audience segmentation across campaigns.Support the implementation of GDN, YouTube, and Demand Gen campaigns as directed.Assist with budget tracking and pacing, flagging overspend or under pacing risks in a timely manner.Stay up to date with platform changes, new features, and paid search best practices.What We Are Looking For2+ years of hands-on experience in paid search, managing campaigns in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.Working knowledge of SA360 (Search Ads 360) for campaign management and reporting.Solid understanding of bidding strategies, match types, and keyword optimization.Experience conducting SQR analysis and managing keyword lists.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and produce clear reports.Familiarity with digital measurement platforms such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Campaign Manager 360 (CM360), or Adobe Analytics.Experience with A/B testing and a methodical approach to optimization.High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.Native or fluent English speaker.Bonus Skills & ExperienceExperience with GDN, YouTube, Remarketing, or Demand Gen campaigns.Familiarity with automation tools or scripts to improve campaign efficiency.Basic technical skills such as Google Ads Scripts, SQL, or JavaScript.Experience with reporting tools or dashboards (e.g. Looker Studio, Google Sheets automation).Understanding CRO principles and landing page best practices.Experience in travel, mobility, or multi-market e-commerce environments.What we offer:A competitive salary based on your experience (28k to 32k) plus Bonus scheme.A full-time permanent contract (39h a week)Working hours 10h to 19h (1 hour lunch) with the option to work full remote.Wellness & fun activitiesVIP District discounts and rental car discountsLife insurance after 6 monthsExcellent, dynamic, & multicultural environment in one of the best locations in Barcelona: The World Trade CentreAvis Budget Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
