We produced the sensational series  Tara Duncan  and  Miraculous Ladybug season 5,  both broadcasted on  Disney Channel  and  Disney +.

We are now getting ready for an absolutely  new captivating project,  the series ‘Messi and the Giants’,  produced by  Sony Music Vision, Sony Pictures Television Kids  and  Leo Messi Management,  and broadcasted by Disney . An epic saga where a young boy named Leo is transported from his home in Argentina into a fantastical alternate universe.

Job description

ATLANTIS ANIMATION is looking for a talented and experienced  Senior Rigger to join our creative team in Tenerife, Canary Islands. As a Senior Rigger, you will work directly with our assets supervisor, overseeing the creation of character rigs, props, and environments for our 3D animation projects. You will ensure that the rigs are optimized, functional, and ready for layout and animation, collaborating closely with modellers, animators, and other departments to bring characters and assets to life.

Type of contract: Fixed-term Employee contract.

Location: On-site in Tenerife, or Remote (only if based in Spain or elsewhere in Europe).

Responsibilities:

• Following the rigging process, providing feedback to ensure high-quality work.

• Collaborate with the animation and modeling teams to create flexible and efficient rigs that meet the needs of the project.

• Oversee the rigging pipeline, ensuring that all rigs are optimized for animation and meet technical standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve rigging issues that arise during production, ensuring smooth workflows.

• Manage and coordinate the delivery of rigging assets.

• Ensure timely delivery of rigging work in accordance with production schedules and deadlines.

• Implement best practices for rigging workflows, tools, and techniques.

• Provide technical leadership and training for junior riggers and team members.

• Ensure that the rigging work integrates seamlessly with other departments such as animation, modeling, and lighting.

Profile required

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in 3D rigging in a senior position.

• Proficiency in rigging software (Maya).

• Strong knowledge of rigging techniques for both characters and props, including facial and body rigging.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to provide clear direction and feedback.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

• Fluent in English (both written and spoken).

• A passion for 3D animation and the technical aspects of character creation.

• A valid EU/Spanish work permit is required.

Preferred:

• Experience working in a production environment for animated series or feature films.

• Knowledge of additional animation or technical software is a plus.
