Compliance Business Expert – Mortgage Team

ING is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Compliance Business Expert to join our Mortgage team within the Home Tribe. You will help develop new customer/product features and legal initiatives focused on the mortgage workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the current mortgage workflow and translate legal/regulatory requirements into business requirements.
• Implement new business functionalities and modify existing ones in the mortgage application flow to maintain compliance.
• Balance improvement initiatives with implementation costs while the workflow is being phased out.
• Manage asset maintenance by coordinating and prioritizing daily incidents and providing clear delivery timelines aligned with legal and audit deadlines.
• Coordinate follow‑up on asset issues, driving progress and implementation within the squad.
• Support the Product Owner to increase efficiency, reduce complexity, and enhance customer experience at critical mortgage moments.
• Translate business needs into implementation requirements and work within ING’s IT framework.
• Define a first MVP, gather feedback, and improve in short cycles.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in product design.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into delivery requirements and work with IT.
• Experience delivering technology solutions in complex, agile environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, aligning diverse teams and negotiating priorities.
• Strong problem‑solving capabilities and proactive, can‑do attitude.
• Experience in mortgage or financial services domain, ideally with knowledge of credit operations.
• Passion for digital transformation and continuous improvement.
• Excellent written and oral English skills.
