2nd Captain - 30m Performance SY - 8:4 rotation

A 30m performance sailing yacht is seeking a 2nd Captain to join an exciting and highly professional racing program.

With several regattas planned throughout 2027, this is a unique opportunity to join a program that operates more like a professional sailing team than a traditional superyacht. The yacht is supported by an experienced race crew.

Working alongside the Lead Captain/Project Manager, this role is focused on the operational side of the program. You will take responsibility for deliveries, yard periods and the day-to-day running of the yacht, ensuring everything is ready for each event as well as racing onboard for some of the regattas. Whilst you will spend time onboard, this is also a heavily shore-based role, with accommodation provided in Palma.

The ideal candidate will have previous Captain experience on 30m+ performance sailing yachts. You should be a confident sailor with strong regatta experience, capable of working alongside a professional race crew and remain calm and organised in a demanding environment. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting involved and seeing projects through.

The successful candidate can join anytime from now and do the last few events of the Mediterranean season, up until sometime in November ahead of the Caribbean regatta circuit. There is potential for the role to evolve over time depending on experience.

Qualifications required: Previous Captain experience on 30m+ performance sail yachts, strong sailing and regatta background
