Position Summary

The Commercial Process & Automation team enables a data‑driven and scalable commercial organization. As a Process Improvement Principal Specialist, you will partner across Amadeus Hospitality to design and improve commercial processes that enhance efficiency, customer experience, and employee experience. In this role, you will primarily apply Lean principles to simplify workflows and reduce waste, complemented by Six Sigma methods when variation and quality improvement are required. You will collaborate with stakeholders across functions and seniority levels to analyze processes, design improvements, define meaningful performance metrics, and support sustainable adoption of change. This role emphasizes partnership, clarity, and practical impact across the Customer Lifecycle (CLC) and related transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Commercial teams to improve end‑to‑end lead‑to‑cash processes, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and experience.
• Apply Lean principles (such as value stream mapping, waste reduction, and continuous improvement) to design simpler and more effective processes.
• Facilitate collaborative workshops to understand current‑state processes, co‑design future‑state solutions, and support informed decision‑making.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and intelligent tooling (including generative artificial intelligence, workflow automation, and process mining) aligned with business needs.
• Define, monitor, and support the use of key process performance indicators (KPIs) and service‑level agreements (SLAs) to sustain improvements over time.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience in process improvement, business transformation, or operational excellence, gained through a variety of career paths.
• Experience contributing to or leading multiple improvement initiatives from problem definition through implementation and measurable outcomes.
• Experience working collaboratively across functions, regions, and roles in complex or evolving environments.

Methodology & Tools

• Practical experience applying Lean methodologies as a primary approach to process improvement.
• Familiarity with commercial systems such as customer relationship management (CRM), configure‑price‑quote (CPQ), contracting platforms, and service management tools.
• Experience using or learning process and data tools such as process mining, robotic process automation (RPA), Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse), or similar technologies.

Communication & Collaboration

• Able to communicate ideas clearly in writing, conversation, and presentations, adapting style and depth for different audiences.
• Builds trust‑based relationships and works effectively with others, even without formal authority.
• Able to balance independent work with close collaboration and shared accountability.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in business, engineering, information systems, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Lean or Six Sigma certification (or equivalent applied experience).
• Exposure to hospitality, travel technology, or commercial operations.
• Familiarity with change management approaches (such as Prosci ADKAR or Kotter’s 8‑Step), gained through formal training or practical application.
