As a Support Specialist with the Bloomberg On-Site Support (BOS) team in Madrid, you will help ensure the reliability and performance of Bloomberg technology across both client and office environments.

This is a visible, client-facing position requiring strong technical fundamentals, sound judgment, and the ability to prioritize effectively in fast-paced environments.

The Role

Join our Bloomberg On-Site Support (BOS) team based out of our Madrid office at Paseo De La Castellana 9-11, working in Madrid and across the surrounding metropolitan area, with occasional travel throughout Spain. This role combines end-user IT support for Bloomberg employees as well as our customers, with hands-on infrastructure and connectivity support, including work across servers, routers, switches and regional colocation facilities. You will operate in production settings where uptime, responsiveness, and professionalism are essential, partnering with Sales, Facilities, vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

The role requires flexibility to support maintenance windows, deployments, and time-sensitive production matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on installation and servicing of servers, routers, switches and workstations including rack and stack, patching, and physical connectivity.
• Troubleshoot LAN and WAN connectivity issues using knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, subnetting, and routing principles.
• Support Windows and Mac environments across hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Assist with implementation and order activity to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
• Support license activation, software requests, and related technical needs.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate documentation within Bloomberg’s service management systems.
• Manage competing priorities with professionalism in high-visibility environments

We'd love you to show

• Demonstrable experience in customer support, preferably within technical support or an on-site support role.
• A solid understanding of networking fundamentals including LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, subnetting and routing principles.
• The ability to provide excellent customer service to clients both in person and through remote communication channels, such as phone, video conferencing and messaging.
• The ability to work independently, take initiative and adapt to changing requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.
• A valid driving license.
• Right-to-work in Spain
• The ability to participate in an on-call rotation, including occasional evening or weekend work, with time off in lieu provided.
