About the Role
For the months, Murphy has grown in Spain the old fashioned way: founders picking up the phone and closing deals themselves. It has worked. We're already serving tens of happy customers in the market. Now we want to build the team that takes it from "founders can sell this" to "this is a real, scaling business."
You'd be the first Account Executive we hire in Spain . You'll be in charge of closing deals across Enterprise and Mid-Market, mixing inbound leads with outbound work from SDRs and which you also generate yourself. You're joining after the hardest part is already proven: people want this product, and there's a growing list of customers to point to. What doesn't exist yet is the sales machine, and that's the part you'd be helping us build.
There's no playbook sitting in a folder waiting for you. You'll figure out what a good qualification call looks like, how to structure a demo that actually moves a deal forward, and how to talk pricing with a CFO who's never heard of us. You'll have a lot of support from the Founder, the VP of Revenue and from a product team that's genuinely paying attention to this market, but the day to day sales motion is yours to build.

You'll partner with SDRs to work on qualified pipeline and get all the value you can out of your demos. Make it count!
Build the playbook as you go
Since this is a founding role, a lot of what you create will outlast you. That means writing down what works: how you qualify, how you position against objections, how you structure a business case a CFO can actually defend internally. You're not inheriting a system, you're building one.
Help mature the market
We already have happy customers. Your job is to build on top of that instead of starting from zero, turning existing goodwill and reference customers into a real, qualified pipeline rather than relying on inbound alone. As SDR and marketing functions come online, you'll help shape what "qualified" even means here.
Work closely with the people around you
You'll partner with the VP of Revenue on strategy and pricing, and you'll be a direct line of feedback into Product. Because this market is still early, what you learn in the field genuinely changes what gets built next.
About you
You've sold non brand SaaS or AI into enterprise and mid-market before, or you were a founder and built your own sales motion from scratch. Either way, you know what it's like to build your own pipeline and run it full cycle.
3 to 5 years of experience, and you can talk through your actual attainment numbers, not just describe what your team did.
You've worked deals in the 5 to 6 figure range with long, compliance gated cycles and CFO or Ops level buyers.
You've sold into regulated financial services before and know what it's like to get grilled by infosec, procurement, and compliance, and you're still standing.
You can build a quantified ROI case and defend it when someone pushes back.
You've built process where there wasn't any, and you've hit target in situations that were genuinely ambiguous, not just "new to me."
Native Spanish speaker. A second European language is a nice bonus but not required.
Low ego and coachable. You'll take direction from a sales leader who's scaled markets before, and you'll also push back when you think you're right.

1️⃣ First Interview – Getting to Know You
A conversation with a future teammate who’s excited to find a new colleague. We’ll talk about your story, what drives you, and what you’re looking for next—no trick questions, just a genuine exchange.
2️⃣ Second Interview – Deep Dive
You’ll meet the Hiring Manager and potentially another team member. This is a more technical discussion where we explore your skills in detail, walk through real scenarios, and answer any questions you might have about the role.
3️⃣ Role Play
A practical exercise to see how you approach challenges similar to those you’d tackle at Murphy. You’ll have time to reflect and showcase your thinking—no rush, no surprises.
4️⃣ Coffee at the Office with the Founders
Finally, you’ll join us in our Barcelona office for a relaxed coffee with the founders and the Hiring Manager. It’s the perfect opportunity to experience our culture firsthand and meet more of the team who could soon be your colleagues.
