Primary Teacher

Nord Anglia Education Ltd Job Purpose To teach a class of pupils ensuring that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs. • To ensure that the curriculum provides a range of powerful, personalised learning opportunities for students.
• To implement agreed school policies and guidelines.
• To support whole school initiatives and events.
• To plan appropriately to meet the needs of all pupils, through differentiation of tasks.
• To be able to set clear targets, based on prior attainment, for pupils’ learning.
• To provide a stimulating classroom environment, where resources can be accessed appropriately by all pupils.
• To keep appropriate and efficient records, integrating formative and summative assessment into weekly and term planning in line with school policy.
• To report to parents on the development, progress and attainment of pupils in line with the school reporting calendar.
• To maintain positive learning atmosphere, in accordance with the school's behaviour for learning protocol.
• To participate in meetings which relate to the school's leadership, curriculum, administration and organisation.
• To communicate and co-operate with specialist teachers, other colleagues and, where necessary, outside agencies (eg. Child psychologists).
• To lead, organise and direct support staff within the classroom.
• To participate in the performance management system for the review of your own performance and to support a culture of continuous development.

• Degree in education or initial degree and post graduate teaching qualification-Essential
• PGCE (or equivalent) in Primary Education-Desirable

• Minimum 2 years teaching experience-Essential
• English (native level competency)-Essential
• Ability to monitor, assess, record and report in pupils’ progress-Essential
• Effective pedagogy and a commitment to development-Essential
• Ability to personalize and differentiate learning to meet all learners’ needs-Essential
