We're looking for motivated, commercially minded people who enjoy connecting with others and want to grow.About Refinery89Refinery89 is a fast-growing Dutch AdTech company headquartered in Madrid, helping digital publishers around the world maximize their advertising revenue through innovative technology.We work with premium publishers across international markets, combining advanced programmatic advertising solutions with a people-first approach to building lasting business relationships.Our team brings together professionals from different countries and backgrounds, creating a dynamic, international environment where new ideas, initiative, and ambition are encouraged.What You'll DoAs a Junior Business Development Representative, you'll help introduce Refinery89 to new publishers across the German-speaking market and play an important role in growing our international business.Your responsibilities will include:Find new business opportunities: Research and identify potential publishing partners across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.Connect with prospective clients: Reach out through LinkedIn, email, phone calls, and other channels to introduce Refinery89's solutions.Build relationships: Engage with publishers, understand their needs, and identify how our technology can help grow their advertising revenue.Develop your sales pipeline: Manage prospects from initial outreach through commercial conversations, negotiations, and closing opportunities.Collaborate with international teams: Work closely with experienced sales and operational colleagues to develop commercial opportunities.Learn the AdTech industry: Build your understanding of digital advertising, publisher monetization, and programmatic technology through hands-on experience.Stay organized: Keep our CRM updated with prospects, conversations, and business opportunities.Grow your commercial skills: Work towards individual and team targets while continuously improving your prospecting, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.Who We're Looking ForWe're not expecting you to know everything about sales or digital advertising from day one.
We're more interested in your attitude, communication skills, and willingness to learn.What Matters MostGerman fluency (C1/C2 or native level) and strong English communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence communicating with new people.A genuine interest in sales, business development, and building professional relationships.A proactive, curious, and results-oriented mindset.Resilience, persistence, and a positive attitude towards challenges.Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple conversations and priorities.Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and commercial processes.Availability to work onsite with our international team in Madrid.Recent graduates and candidates with 0 to 2 years of professional experience are encouraged to apply.Nice to Have (But Not Required!)Previous experience in sales, business development, customer service, recruitment, or another client-facing role.Familiarity with prospecting tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or CRM platforms.Exposure to the German-speaking business market.An academic background in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.Knowledge of digital advertising, online media, or SaaS.Additional European languages, particularly Dutch.Why Join Refinery89?
