VeraContent is a multilingual content marketing agency that works with global brands. We manage large content marketing and social media projects for multinational companies operating worldwide.

We’re looking for a Business Development Executive to join our commercial team. You’ll work closely with our Head of Business Development, playing a key role in growing our client base and managing a portfolio of existing accounts. This is a hands‑on commercial role that sits at the intersection of sales and account management. You’ll be both bringing in new business and ensuring the clients you own are well‑served and growing.

This role reports to the Head of Business Development.

What You’ll Do

• Execute VeraContent’s outbound sales strategy, including email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and attendance at industry events.
• Respond quickly and persuasively to inbound requests, following our established sales processes.
• Pre-qualify leads and assess whether prospects are a strong fit before a proposal is developed.
• Prepare and deliver proposals to qualified prospects, submitted to the Head of Business Development for approval before sending.
• Pursue and respond to RFPs, preparing well‑structured, compelling responses in line with VeraContent’s positioning.
• Lead discovery calls and client consultations, presenting VeraContent’s approach and handling prospect questions.
• Manage the sales pipeline end‑to‑end, from first contact through to signed contract, keeping our CRM accurately up to date at all times.
• Report regularly on pipeline status, conversion rates, and deal progress, contributing to revenue forecasting and pipeline predictability.
• Provide structured feedback to the Head of Business Development and wider leadership team on market trends, client needs, and reasons for won or lost deals.

Account Management

• Own the commercial relationship for an assigned portfolio of accounts, serving as their primary point of contact for satisfaction, renewals, and growth.
• Check in regularly with clients through one‑on‑one calls and quarterly surveys, identifying ways to serve them better and offer complementary services.
• Identify and pursue upsell and cross‑sell opportunities within your portfolio, preparing proposals for approval before presenting to clients.
• Support contract renewals, preparing updated proposals and supporting negotiations in collaboration with the Head of Business Development.
• Share client feedback with the relevant project managers and ensure client concerns are addressed promptly.
• Support the Head of Business Development on key accounts as directed, preparing materials, coordinating logistics, and handling operational aspects of those relationships.
• Connect with key clients periodically in person, which may involve travel within Spain or Europe.

Onboarding & Handoff

• Ensure new clients are transitioned smoothly from sales to delivery, providing the project management team with full context on scope, pricing, and client expectations.
• Collaborate with our creative and strategy team during client onboarding to ensure the brief accurately reflects what was sold.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous B2B sales experience, ideally in content marketing, social media, localization, or a related agency or services environment.
• Deep understanding of the content and social media marketing industry and the ability to articulate VeraContent’s unique position within it.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English; professional proficiency in Spanish is required.
• Strong organisational skills and hands‑on experience with a CRM to manage leads, track activity, and report on results.
• Solid analytical skills, comfortable making sense of pipeline data and contributing to revenue forecasting.
• Sound commercial judgement: able to assess a prospect, structure a proposal, and know when to elevate.
• A sense of urgency and tenacity, able to move things forward with clients who are often larger and less nimble than we are.
• Collaborative by nature: this role works closely with the Head of Business Development, project managers, and our creative team. Being a strong team player matters as much as being a strong closer.
• Flexibility and comfort in a fast‑moving environment, willing to adapt to new tools and processes as we grow.
• A genuine passion for writing, languages, and content. Knowledge of additional languages beyond English and Spanish is a significant plus.
