About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Spain-based Public Affairs Consultant with knowledge of Spanish public administration, regulatory affairs, public policy, or government relations to support our international consulting activities.

The consultant will provide local expertise on Spain's regulatory environment, administrative procedures, and policy developments, helping our team better understand public sector processes and regulatory considerations relevant to business operations.

This role is suitable for professionals with experience in public affairs, government relations, regulatory consulting, public administration, legal advisory, or related fields who are interested in flexible, project-based consulting opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional insights on Spanish government regulations, administrative procedures, and public policy developments relevant to business activities.
• Conduct research and analysis on regulatory changes, legislation, and public sector developments in Spain.
• Prepare professional reports, policy summaries, and strategic analysis based on research findings.
• Analyze potential regulatory opportunities and risks affecting business operations in Spain.
• Provide guidance on Spanish public administration processes and public sector procedures when required.
• Support preparation for potential engagement with relevant Spanish public institutions, agencies, and stakeholders.
• Monitor relevant policy trends and regulatory developments within Spain.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
• Academic background in International Relations, Public Policy, Law, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, or related disciplines is advantageous.
• Professional experience in Spanish public affairs, government relations, regulatory affairs, public administration, consulting, legal advisory, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of Spanish administrative procedures, regulatory frameworks, and public sector operations.
• Ability to independently conduct research and produce high-quality written reports.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Fluent English communication skills are required.
• Ability to work independently in a remote and flexible environment.
• Existing professional networks within Spanish government institutions, public agencies, municipalities, regulatory bodies, or related organizations are highly valued.
• Previous experience in consulting, advisory, public policy research, or government relations is advantageous.

Compensation

Compensation is project-based and report-based .

Typical compensation:

EUR 300 - 1,500 per report

Compensation depends on:

• Scope and complexity of the assignment;
• Depth of research and analysis;
• Strategic value and impact of the deliverable.
