Sales Development Representative - Southern Europe

The Role

As a member of the Sales Development Program, your primary role involves advocating Veeva’s values within the Life Sciences industry through active engagement with pharma companies and driving pipeline generation. You will be part of a development program focused on nurturing talent for the Account Partner position. The accelerated sales track is comprised of two distinct phases:

  • Phase 1: Sales Development Representative (SDR) – learn the Life Sciences industry and SaaS technology, generate sales demand and pipeline revenue through inbound and outbound prospecting, and build foundational sales skills.
  • Phase 2: Associate Account Partner – aligned to a sales team and manager, continue prospecting, own accounts, and execute the full deal cycle from lead to renewal with full support.

Upon successful completion of these two phases, you will be promoted to an Account Partner position in our Field Sales organization and positioned for a long‑term career in sales.

You must be based in the UK and legally authorized to be employed in the UK. Veeva does not provide sponsorship for an employment visa for this position.

What You’ll Do
  • Work within a defined territory to generate and qualify new leads and opportunities
  • Research and develop a plan for breaking into your assigned accounts
  • Partner closely with a sales team and account executives to advance and close opportunities over time
  • Build trusted relationships with prospective customers, understand their needs and recommend the right Veeva products and solutions
  • Rapidly develop sales skills on the job and through training and events
Requirements
  • 4 years of professional experience in sales, consulting, or within a pharma company. Part‑time or internship experience is considered.
  • Full business language capacity in Spanish, Italian, and English
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport quickly
  • Self‑starter, entrepreneurial mindset with initiative
  • Highly organized, able to manage time and multiple priorities effectively
  • Team player with accountability and direction
  • Resilience to rejection
  • Willingness to travel as needed (~25%)
Nice to Have
  • Business proficiency in another language
  • Experience in consulting, customer success, or project management
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in Life Sciences or technology
  • Community involvement or organizational leadership experience
  • Evidence of competitive endeavors

Compensation
  • Total compensation: 45,000 – 75,000 EUR
  • The total compensation range provided is to comply with local regulations and represents a potential total compensation range for this role. Actual total compensation may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. This position’s total compensation may be composed of other types of compensation, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
