Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Backend Software Engineer to join our CRM Team of Contact Center & Branches tribe

CC CRM team is responsible for delivering a reliable, customer‑focused digital experience by making Affluent customer data actionable in the CRM, enabling the best agent‑customer experience, and ensuring effective portfolio management for agents, including alert handling and customer contact management.

Your key responsibilities:

As a Backend Software Engineer you will:

- Design, develop and test backend solutions with support from more senior engineers, ensuring functionality, quality and performance.

- Contribute to delivering software to Production, following established development practices, standards and guidelines.

- Maintain and improve existing software, contributing to refactoring and continuous improvement of the codebase.

- Support Production by analysing incidents, troubleshooting issues and fixing bugs under guidance.

- Contribute to ensuring system reliability and performance, considering non‑functional requirements with the support of the team.

- Collaborate within a cross‑functional Agile squad, participating in refinements and contributing to solution discussions.

- Contribute to delivering product value by executing tasks end‑to‑end with support, ensuring quality and meeting commitments.

- Participate in the engineering chapter, learning best practices and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

- Share knowledge with the team and actively participate in learning and feedback loops.

- Communicate technical topics clearly, with support, adapting to different audiences when needed.

- Solid foundation in software development, with the ability to write clean, maintainable and testable code.

- Understanding of software design principles and willingness to learn how to apply design patterns in real scenarios.

- Basic knowledge of microservices architecture, REST APIs and distributed systems.

- Experience with Java and Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, MVC) or similar backend technologies.

- Familiarity with testing practices (JUnit, Mockito or equivalent).

- Basic understanding of CI/CD, version control (Git, Azure DevOps) and modern development workflows.

- Exposure to containerisation (Docker) and cloud environments is a plus.

- Basic understanding of databases (SQL, JPA or similar).

- Willingness to learn how to analyse and solve production issues with the support of the team.

- Ability to work collaboratively in Agile teams, with a proactive and curious mindset.

- Strong learning attitude, openness to feedback and continuous improvement.

- Accountability for assigned tasks and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.

- Demonstrates ING Orange Code behaviours: collaboration, ownership, openness to change and continuous learning.

- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly with the support of more experienced engineers.

Estamos buscando una persona Backend Software Engineer con talento y entusiasmo para unirse a nuestro CRM Team del tribe de Contact Center & Branches .

Tus principales responsabilidades:

Como Backend Software Engineer , tú:

• Diseñarás, desarrollarás y probarás soluciones backend con el apoyo de personas ingenieras más senior, asegurando la funcionalidad, la calidad y el rendimiento.

• Contribuirás a la entrega de software a Producción, siguiendo las prácticas de desarrollo, estándares y guías establecidas.

• Mantendrás y mejorarás el software existente, contribuyendo a la refactorización y a la mejora continua de la base de código.

• Darás soporte a Producción analizando incidencias, investigando problemas y corrigiendo errores bajo supervisión.

• Contribuirás a garantizar la fiabilidad y el rendimiento del sistema, teniendo en cuenta los requisitos no funcionales con el apoyo del equipo.

• Colaborarás dentro de un squad Agile multifuncional, participando en refinamientos y contribuyendo a las discusiones de soluciones.

• Contribuirás a la entrega de valor de producto ejecutando tareas de extremo a extremo con apoyo, asegurando la calidad y cumpliendo los compromisos.

• Participarás en el engineering chapter , aprendiendo mejores prácticas y contribuyendo a una cultura de mejora continua.

• Compartirás conocimiento con el equipo y participarás activamente en los ciclos de aprendizaje y feedback.

¿Qué estamos buscando?

• Base sólida en desarrollo de software, con capacidad para escribir código limpio, mantenible y testeable.

• Comprensión de los principios de diseño de software y disposición para aprender a aplicar patrones de diseño en escenarios reales.

• Conocimientos básicos de arquitectura de microservicios, APIs REST y sistemas distribuidos.

• Experiencia con Java y el ecosistema Spring (Spring Boot, MVC) u otras tecnologías backend similares.

• Familiaridad con prácticas de testing (JUnit, Mockito o equivalente).

• Comprensión básica de CI/CD, control de versiones (Git, Azure DevOps) y flujos de desarrollo modernos.

• Experiencia o exposición a contenedorización (Docker) y entornos cloud es un plus.

• Comprensión básica de bases de datos (SQL, JPA o similares).

• Disposición para aprender a analizar y resolver incidencias en producción con el apoyo del equipo.

• Capacidad para trabajar de forma colaborativa en equipos Agile, con una mentalidad proactiva y curiosa.

• Fuerte actitud de aprendizaje, apertura al feedback y mejora continua.

• Responsabilidad sobre las tareas asignadas y compromiso con la entrega de resultados de calidad.
