Environmental Lead

Company from the Oil & Gas industry is looking for a Environmental Coordinator for a project located in Saudi Arabia.

Mission:

• Ensure consistency of Project designwith customers environmental objectives, contractual requirements andapplicable regulations
• Ensure execution and coordination ofactivities and studies for the environmental compatibility of onshore andoffshore projects consistently with project budget and schedule.
• Manage and supervise the followingactivities and deliverables:
• Project Environmental designcriteria and management plans
• Noise Studies/modellings
• Air quality Studies/modellings
• Fugitive emission estimations (VOCand GHG)
• Best Available Technology benchmarkassessments
• Coordinate and follow-up EIAprocedures and other environmental authorization procedures for Authorities
• Manage interface with Client, otherJV Contractors, and local authorities in developing environmental activities
• Provide Environmental support totechnical and commercial bid activities

Tasks:

• Ensure the implementation of the Environmental Management System at site in compliancewith Contractor and Company requirements.
• Ensure, together with the relevant technical Functions, the implementation ofCompany strategies for GHGs/Climate change and energy management at site.
• Manage the relevant environmental permits and monitor application.
• Develop Specific Environmental Plans/Procedures (i.e. Waste/Chemical/WaterManagement Plan, etc.), and monitor implementation;
• Ensure protection of sensitive areas;
• Develop spill prevention and response plan, monitor its implementation andensure the implementation of the environmental emergency exercises/drillsprogram.
• Ensuring compliance with noise and air quality requirements.
• Establishing an environmental monitoring and audit program applicable to allphases of operations.
• Take part in incident investigation;Oversee construction activities on aregular basis through inspections/walkthroughs/audits.
• Support Construction Manager/Site Manger in pollution prevention issues andcollaborate with him to ensure fulfilment of all requirements.
• Monitor SUBCONTRACTOR’s Site activities and their compliance with Project EMS.
• Organize environmental training sessions and deliver trainings to Siteworkforce.
• Ensure collection and management of lessons learned and identification ofopportunities for improvement.
• Prepare reports and statistics of the site environmental performance.

Requirements

• Master degree in Chemical/EnvironmentalEngineering, Environmental Science or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in similarrole, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry
• Deep Knowledge and control of internationalregulations concerning environment
• Experience in InternationalEnvironmental Permitting activities
• Experience in environmentalemissions assessments (noise, air, GHG, effluents)
• Well-established knowledge of noise andair quality aspects. Practical knowledge of predictive models is recommended.
• Effective communication,presentation and writing skills
• Good relational and negotiationskills and problem-solving attitude
• English language proficiency
