Info Security Governance Specialist

Overview

At ING Hubs Spain we are looking for an Info Security Governance Specialist to join a new team focused on cybersecurity governance, regulatory compliance, horizon scanning, and influencing new regulations. The role supports risk analyses in governance, operational resilience testing, and works closely with the CISO and CTO functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive adequate governance of cybersecurity issues for ING and the Global CISO.
• Help oversee setup and maintenance of ING’s cybersecurity standards.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with external regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Monitor and influence cybersecurity regulations and implement regulatory cybersecurity programs.
• Track regulatory obligations and produce regulatory reports.
• Support audits, including ECB audits, questionnaires, onsite inspections, and internal/external maturity assessments.
• Ensure adherence to ECB guidelines such as DORA RTS and CRA.
• Map controls to regulatory expectations.
• Execute risk analyses on cybersecurity to support governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, information security, risk management, or equivalent.
• 0–6 years of experience in information security or risk management within a larger institution.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity and IT.
• Deep knowledge of risk management within financial institutions.
• Familiarity with GRC frameworks and compliance standards (ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, NIS2, SOC 1/2).
• Experience managing policies, KRIs, and risk reporting at the executive level.
• Understanding of data analytics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in English.

• Good presentation skills and a team‑player attitude.

• Experience in a financial institution.

• Relevant certifications or exam pass (CISM, CRISC, CISA, or equivalent).
