Timeline for Recruitment of Research Staff

• Support and collaboration for the management of the ‘Talentos Inclusivos’ project – including the coordination of inclusive educational activities, the development of accessible materials, the organisation of workshops and events, and the communication and facilitation of working groups for the development of technological challenges with the participating schools and ASPACE Coruña. Start: 1 November 2026; End: 31 December 2026; Duration: 2 months.
• Support for the management of the EDIGIT (Erasmus+) project – covering coordination with international partners, technical and administrative monitoring of activities and results, the production of accessible training resources, and the organisation of dissemination activities and European meetings. Start: 1 November 2026; End: 31 December 2026; Duration: 2 months.
• Collaboration in the preparation of presentations, reports and other documents/guidelines relating to the Inclusive Talents and EDIGIT projects and other CITIC initiatives: content, editing and layout. Start: 1 November 2026; End: 31 December 2026; Duration: 2 months.
• Assistance with the organisation of the XoveTIC Conference – through the promotion of activities, the publication of key dates and the facilitation of the submission of research papers. Start: 1 November 2026; End: 31 December 2026; Duration: 2 months.
• Management of outreach activities and events for Talentos Inclusivos, EDIGIT, XoveTIC and other CITIC initiatives. Start: 1 November 2026; End: 31 December 2026; Duration: 2 months.
• Support in the planning, organisation and implementation of social knowledge transfer activities, including citizen action initiatives, scientific outreach activities, citizen science initiatives and participation in open science fairs linked to CITIC. Start: 1 November 2026; End: 31 December 2026; Duration: 2 months.
• Support for CITIC’s communication and outreach work via social media, the website and general and specialist media. Start: 1 November 2026; End: 31 December 2026; Duration: 2 months.

The Centre for Research in Information and Communication Technologies (CITIC) comprises more than 300 researchers. As part of the Network of Research Centres within the Galician University System, it provides research staff with high-performance and specialised computing infrastructure that facilitates the execution of projects in the fields of artificial intelligence, data science and engineering, high-performance computing, smart services and networks, and cybersecurity.

The centre is equipped with unique laboratories, such as the technology demonstrator and the virtual reality and robotics laboratories, where prototypes or the results of research projects can be showcased, serving as a platform to highlight the R&D&I capabilities of the various research teams.

CITIC carries out activities to support the dissemination of research, promotes the ‘Talentos Inclusivos’ citizen science project and the Erasmus+ EDIGIT project, and organises the annual XoveTIC Conference, amongst other initiatives to promote the centre.

This vacancy seeks a candidate with a profile suited to managing and driving forward educational, inclusive and European projects linked to CITIC, with the ability to coordinate activities, partners, educational institutions and collaborating organisations. We are looking for someone with experience in organising outreach activities, the social transfer of knowledge, citizen science and events, as well as in producing accessible materials, presentations, reports and training resources.

Master’s degree in the field of communication or equivalent to MECES level 3.

The requirements must have been met by the deadline for submitting applications. On the closing date for applications and throughout the term of the contract, applicants must meet and continue to meet the requirements set out in Article 8 of the Regulations on the Recruitment of Contract Staff, Chapter 6, relating to research and knowledge transfer projects, grants and agreements.

Merits and Supporting Documentation

• General merits: all qualifications and certificates must be submitted in a legible PDF format.
• Professional experience: an up-to-date employment history report is mandatory.
• Research projects: only certificates issued by the relevant official body (e.g. the Vice-Rectorate for Research or persons with legal authority) will be accepted.
• Languages: language proficiency must be demonstrated by means of an official certificate (e.g. CEFR, Cambridge, DELE, EOI) or an equivalent recognised by the Selection Committee.
• Note on Exclusion: certificates or letters issued in a personal capacity by professors or Principal Investigators (PIs) of the projects are not valid.

The post may remain unfilled if no candidate achieves a score of more than 60 points.

A waiting list will be drawn up comprising applicants not shortlisted by the Selection Committee; this list may be used in the event of the selected candidate’s resignation or termination of their employment contract.

At the same time, this list may be used for future recruitment for the same purpose.

Funding for the contract may be provided, in whole or in part, by any other project or grant associated with the Research Line, even prior to the end of the initial months, provided that adequate and sufficient funding is available. Pursuant to the provisions of Article 5 of Instruction 2/2025, of 17 March 2025, issued by the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Transfer, regulating the registration of research and strategic lines and the recruitment of research staff funded from such lines, the validity of this permanent contract is subject to the continued need for the tasks and the existence of adequate and sufficient funding within the research line. The exhaustion of the funding allocated to the line, or the completion of the technical activities justifying the post without the possibility of redeployment, shall constitute objective grounds for termination of the contract (Article 52(e) of the Workers’ Statute).
