Funditec Intelligence (Cyber) develops innovative solutions in cybersecurity, defense, and dual-use systems, combining applied research with real‑world deployment, and offering senior professionals an environment to grow through impactful projects with future growth potential.

We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of large-scale cybersecurity solutions, with a focus on offensive and defensive security, automation, compliance, and technical robustness. The position combines advanced development (primarily Python), technical leadership, and contributions to international innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture and Development

• Design large-scale detection and response architectures (XDR, SOAR, SIEM, advanced automation).
• Define and set technical standards for the team (architecture, testing, CI/CD, code quality).
• Lead critical code reviews, design integration and end-to-end tests, and ensure robust pipelines.
• Produce and maintain technical and operational documentation (architecture, design decisions, runbooks, SLAs).

Applied Research and Offensive Security

• Create proprietary methodologies tailored to clients/industries.
• Develop advanced exploits and bypasses; contribute to research on 0-days and new techniques.
• Lead training and offensive security communities.
• Prototype PoCs to assess risks, reduce time‑to‑market, and prioritise impact.

Technical Leadership

• Technical owner of critical components, responsible for quality and SLAs.
• Mentor junior/mid-level staff, providing guidance on feedback and best practices.
• Act as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders, communicating risks, status, and trade-offs.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field (a master’s degree in cybersecurity or computer security is a plus).
• ≥5 years of experience in developing cybersecurity solutions, with ≥3 years leading complex projects from lab to production.
• Proven experience in automation (SOAR/XDR), offensive/defensive security, OT/ICS, or digital forensics.
  Participation in applied research, publication of papers/patents, or open‑source contributions is desirable.

Technical Skills

• Languages: Python (advanced, required); other languages a plus.
• Infrastructure and pipelines: CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, observability (logging, metrics, tracing).
• Cybersecurity: offensive security (exploits, red team), defensive security (advanced detection, adversarial resilience), industrial security (OT/ICS), digital forensics.
• Cloud & Data: AWS/Azure/GCP, big data for security, pipeline orchestration.
• AI applied to security: anomaly detection, adversarial ML, XAI.
• Compliance: ISO 27001, ENS, NIST, critical industry regulations.
• Experience in industrial security and hardware, as well as knowledge of compliance and quality standards, will be highly valued.
