Portuguese Copywriter

The Copywriter plays a key role in shaping how the brand communicates in the Portuguese market - creating engaging and locally relevant copy across all customer touchpoints.
This role combines creativity with linguistic accuracy. It requires the ability to adapt campaigns and messaging for local audiences, translate content where appropriate, and create original copy when the brief calls for it. Alongside a creative mindset and strong attention to detail, the role requires confidence using Microsoft Office and other systems to manage day-to-day tasks and deliver high-quality content efficiently.

Detailed Description

• Type of Telework – Hybrid Working
• Working hours – 39 hours.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Produce product descriptions for all categories
• Understanding and adopting the JD tone of voice in all copy
• Translation from English - including short and long formats
• Create engaging, SEO-friendly blog posts to support marketing, product and sport messages
• Format blog copy into WordPress using basic HTML
• Introductory SEO skills
• Crafting CRM copy, including subject lines, email copy and push notifications
• Creating commercial copy for paid channels, following strict word counts
• Improving rankings with new and updated product listing page copy
• Working closely with the rest of the Copy Team to align and share ideas

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Translation/Philology, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience as a Copywriter, Content Creator, or Digital Writer—preferably within Retail, E-commerce, Fashion, Sportswear, or Creative Agencies.
• Native or Bilingual Portuguese
• Advanced English
• Acquired copywriting skills in a certified apprenticeship or a comparable competency through work history
• Pro-active with a positive attitude
• A passion for writing
• Able to work quickly and effectively whilst maintaining a high level of quality and managing workloads
• Organised and be able to manage own workflow
• Ability to clearly articulate ideas to line manager and other team members
