About the role We are looking for a

Payments Strategy Consultant

to join our team in Madrid. This is

not a standard consulting role . You will work at the intersection of

strategy, data and technology , helping leading financial institutions improve profitability in highly complex payment ecosystems. At ARGOZ Consultants, we focus on delivering

measurable impact on clients’ P&L , identifying and implementing optimization opportunities across scheme costs (Visa, Mastercard), interchange, and merchant pricing, often in the range of

millions .

You will be expected to understand complex systems, structure problems clearly, and translate data into actionable decisions.

Your role Work on

high-impact projects

with issuers and acquirers across international markets Break down complex payment cost structures into

clear, actionable insights Perform

deep-dive analyses

on large and granular datasets Interact directly with

senior stakeholders

in finance, payments and strategy teams Contribute to the development and deployment of our

proprietary SaaS solutions

What we’re looking for Strong analytical capabilities and structured problem-solving Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly

Excel; SQL is a plus Comfort operating in ambiguity and tackling complex, unstructured problems High level of ownership and accountability Clear and confident communication with senior stakeholders Fluency in English and Spanish required. Portuguese is highly valued Previous professional experience in strategy, business or financial consulting roles will be considered a plus
