Instrumentation and Control Designer

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrumentation design within the petrochemical and/or oil & gas industry.
• Experience in lump-sum bid proposals/projects.
• Advanced proficiency in SPI Intools.
• Advanced proficiency in PDS and SP3D.
• Knowledge of some of the following software: MicroStation, AutoCAD, Excel, Raceways, among others.

Technical Knowledge

• Design cable routing and instrumentation & F&G layouts — electronic and pneumatic — (aboveground and underground), including installation details using MicroStation.
• Perform SP3D design for instrumentation scope and routing of instrument cable trays/trenches using SP3D.
• Prepare field wiring details (junction boxes and interconnection diagrams), pneumatic and process connections, and instrument loop diagrams using SPI.
• Develop cable lists and installation material take-offs (MTO) using SPI.
• Review clashes/interferences with other disciplines (cross-check verification).
