About the role

As part of the Shipping team, the Experienced Specialist, Shipping Operations plays a key role in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and efficiency of shipping operations across the Group.

The role owns critical operational processes, maintains shipping system configurations, supports invoice control and reporting activities, and contributes to the continuous improvement of shipping performance. Working closely with Shipping, Customer Care, Finance, FP&A, Outsourcing, PMO teams, and external carriers, the role helps ensure operational alignment and the successful execution of logistics activities.

This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for operational improvement.

How you embrace curiosity daily

• Monitor operational performance and prepare regular reports, dashboards, and actionable insights.
• Support carrier performance management through data analysis, performance reviews, and preparation of business review materials.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of shipping operations and alignment on operational priorities.
• Investigate operational issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions using data‑driven approaches.
• Contribute to the ongoing optimisation of shipping processes, systems, and workflows.

How you make your mark

• Own and maintain shipping system configurations, including carrier setups, routing logic, service updates, and operational parameters.
• Execute and continuously improve shipping operational processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and service quality.
• Manage invoice control activities, including invoice validation, discrepancy investigation, resolution coordination, and reporting.
• Ensure the integrity, consistency, and accuracy of shipping data across systems, reports, and operational tools.
• Support the delivery of logistics‑related projects and operational initiatives.
• Assist with testing, validation, and implementation of system enhancements and process changes.

What you bring to the team

• Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, operations, or a related field.
• Good understanding of shipping operations, carrier networks, transportation processes, or e‑commerce logistics.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven mindset.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with reporting or business intelligence tools is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.

What sets you apart

• Experience with shipping management platforms such as Centiro, Shipup, or similar logistics systems.
• Experience with invoice control, freight auditing, or logistics‑related financial processes.
• Exposure to carrier performance management and transportation analytics.
• Knowledge of e‑commerce fulfilment and last‑mile delivery operations.
