About the Team

Our Technology team drives the evolution of our Technology, Engineering, Data, Product, and User Experience functions at Dow Jones. We collaborate closely with newsrooms and strategic partners to develop groundbreaking products and technologies across all touchpoints.

About the Role

The Senior Director of Product Design will lead the design of the platform and design system that underpins all Dow Jones B2B products, including Factiva, Risk & Compliance, Geopolitical Risk, and NewsWires. Reporting to the VP of Product Design for B2B, the role sets the standard, patterns, components, and principles for the entire B2B design ecosystem.

You Will

• Own the platform and the design system, defining its look, feel, and behavior.
• Set navigation, data, and interaction patterns that all B2B products inherit, while balancing flexibility for product teams.
• Build and lead a senior design team that operates as system‑thinkers and credible partners to product leads.
• Partner with product, engineering, and research leadership to align on ship plans and priorities.
• Transform siloed products into a cohesive platform by identifying shared patterns and addressing true differences.
• Treat the design system as a product: develop roadmaps, measure adoption, and iterate based on feedback.

You Have

• 15+ years of product design experience with 7+ years in senior leadership.
• Track record of building and governing design systems and platforms that achieve real adoption.
• Executive presence and ability to influence C‑level stakeholders.
• Strategic partnership skills, linking design decisions to long‑term business outcomes.
• Hiring and coaching instincts for building a high‑impact senior team.
• Experience in B2B enterprise environments, preferably in media, publishing, or enterprise technology.
