Senior Backend Engineer (Php/Go) - Remote Europe

Location: Remote Europe (Spain, Portugal, Germany or the UK)
This is a chance to build at real scale on an app that millions of people use every day. You'll
be working on the backend systems that keep everything running smoothly. The team is
experienced, the environment is genuinely autonomous, and there's a real pathway to Tech
Lead or Engineering Manager if that's where you want to go.
What you'll be doing:
• Improving the core PHP API that powers the Android and iOS apps, handling hundreds of
millions of requests daily.
• Working closely with teams across the product to strengthen the backend for scalability
and support the delivery of new features where needed.
• Contributing to the migration from PHP toward Go as the product scales.
What we're looking for:
• 4+ years backend engineering experience
• Strong PHP and Go/Golang knowledge
• Experience in a scaled consumer mobile app with millions of daily users.
