Portuguese Payroll Implementation Specialist

About the role:

We are currently undergoing significant business expansion in Spain and are looking to strengthen our SD Worx Iberia team with bold, proactive people who have a team spirit, curiosity, and the ambition to grow professionally alongside the company.

As a Payroll Implementation Specialist at SD Worx Iberia, you will help clients based in Portugal implement and optimise their payroll processes, acting as their trusted advisor throughout the implementation phase. At the same time, we will support your personal development, technical expertise, and professional growth opportunities.

Which tasks can you expect?

As implementation:

o You will act as the intermediary between the client and the technical implementation team.

o You will be responsible for gathering requirements and reviewing them afterwards.

o You will agree on the system configuration to be implemented.

o You will support system testing activities (unit testing and parallel payroll runs).

o You will support data migration activities.

Occasionally, when workload allows, you will participate in payroll consultant activities (new hires, employee changes, incidents, terminations), as well as payroll calculation.

What we are looking for?

· Minimum 2/3 years of experience in payroll administration and Portuguese labour legislation.

· A degree in Labour Relations or an IT-related qualification would be valued.

· A strong interest in HR in general, and particularly in payroll administration and employment legislation.

· Analytical skills and an interest in software applications.

· A willingness to learn, enjoy client interaction, and the ability to work accurately and in an organised manner.

· Assertiveness and strong communication skills.

· Someone who contributes to our team spirit with a good sense of humour and a unique personal style.

· Fluency in Portuguese and English is essential.

· Knowledge of Milena will be considered an advantage.
