We are growing our team and looking for those interested in pursuing this dream with us and joining an ever-developing journey. **THE ROLE** We are seeking a proactive and skilled Mechanical Leader to oversee the operations of our in-house workshop in Barcelona. The ideal candidate will coordinate a team of mechanics, establish repair priorities, manage spare parts and stocks, and maintain budgetary control, all while upholding high standards of quality and safety. **WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?** **Team Management:** * Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a team of mechanics, including scheduling, task allocation, and performance reviews. * Provide hands-on guidance and training to ensure team members develop technical skills and adhere to company standards. * Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. **Workshop Operations:** * Plan, prioritize, and oversee campervan repair and maintenance tasks to minimize downtime. * Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with safety regulations. * Act as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues or complex repairs. **Inventory and Spare Parts Management:** * Monitor stock levels of tools, spare parts, and consumables, ensuring availability to meet operational needs. * Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement and negotiate cost-effective purchasing agreements. * Maintain accurate inventory records and implement cost-control measures. **Budget and Reporting:** * Track and report on workshop performance metrics, including repair turnaround times and budget adherence. * Propose improvements in processes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. **Safety and Compliance:** * Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and regulations. * Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards. **WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?** * Candidates with certified training in mechanics, mechatronics, or a similar program in the automotive industry; * Candidates with at least 10 years of proven experience managing a workshop; * Proven experience in mechanical repair and maintenance, preferably in campervans or similar vehicles; * Knowledge of stock and spare part management systems. * Budget management experience and a results-oriented approach. * Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * You're fluent in Spanish (mandatory) - English is a plus. * You're eligible to work in Spain, have a valid driver's licence and feel confident enough to drive a campervan (mandatory); * You're available on weekends and public holidays. **THE INDIE COMMITMENT!** * Being part of a young, fast-growing and innovative company where you make a difference; * Career development opportunities in Field Operations and transition opportunities to our Offices in Lisbon, Mexico City or Manila; * Continuous training and coaching to develop the skills that matter to you; * Compensation package that includes Performance and Referral Bonuses; * Free Road Trips, so you can experience Indie firsthand trips around Europe, North America and Oceania. *Are you ready to Go Indie?*
