Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Researcher to join the Neurodegenerative Diseases Research Group at the Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR). This group is dedicated to advancing clinical and translational research in neurodegenerative disorders, with a particular focus on Parkinson’s disease and related movement disorders.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic and multidisciplinary team, contributing to both clinical trials and observational studies—such as the VHIP cohort—while supporting patient-focused research aimed at improving diagnosis, risk stratification, and quality of life through innovative clinical and laboratory approaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the clinical and basic research teams in active research projects, mainly the VHIP cohort.
• Participate as sub-investigator in Movement Disorders clinical trials.
• Collect and manage biosamples.
• Stratify risk of Parkinson’s disease in carriers of mutations linked to PD.
• Perform laboratory assays such as ELISA, HPLC, and related techniques.
• Assist the research team with tasks necessary for the development of studies.
• Manage trial patients’ agendas, including treatment, medical procedures, and inpatient hospitalisation.
• Write project proposals in collaboration with physician and technician teams to improve the quality of life of patients with neurodegenerative diseases.
