Marketing & Communications Intern

About the Role

We are looking for an organized, proactive and detail-oriented Marketing & Communications Intern to support Alea's PR, communications, events and marketing operations.
Working closely with the Head of PR & Communications and other members of the Marketing team, this person will help prepare event materials, coordinate hospitality activities, maintain internal trackers, support awards submissions and assist with PR content and administrative processes.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to gain hands-on experience across corporate communications, events, content, PR and marketing operations within an international B2B company.

Key Responsibilities

1. Event Communications and Team Support

• Create and update Pre-show Information and Event Guide presentations for conferences, exhibitions and other company events.

• Gather and organize the practical information required for each presentation, coordinating with relevant internal stakeholders.

• Prepare post-event feedback presentations summarizing the team's comments, results, learnings and recommendations.

• Attend post-event meetings when required, take clear notes and document agreed actions and next steps.

• Follow up with relevant stakeholders to collect missing feedback or information.

• Ensure event materials are accurate, well structured, visually consistent and delivered on time.

2. Camp Nou Hospitality Coordination

• Support the coordination and management of Alea's Camp Nou football match hospitality activities.

• Maintain and regularly update the internal Excel tracker for Camp Nou matches, invitations, attendees and relevant details.

• Create match invitations and supporting visual materials using Canva and Alea's approved templates.

• Coordinate invitation details, attendance confirmations and other logistical information with the relevant internal stakeholders.

• Keep all information accurate and up to date before each match.

3. Awards Coordination

• Own and maintain Alea's internal awards calendar under the supervision of the Head of PR & Communications.

• Track key deadlines, categories, requirements, costs and submission status.

• Support the coordination of Alea's award applications from initial planning through final submission.

• Gather the information and materials required from internal teams.

• Draft, adapt and format written materials for each application, with final review and approval from the Head of PR & Communications.

• Keep an organized record of submitted applications, supporting assets and results.

4. PR and Media Support

• Update and maintain the media tracker on a daily basis, ensuring information is complete and accurate.

• Support the drafting of press releases and other PR materials as needed, under the guidance and review of the Head of PR & Communications.

• Assist with research and information gathering for media opportunities, interviews and communications projects.

• Help organize press materials, coverage, contacts and relevant documentation.

• Support follow-ups with media partners, suppliers and other external contacts when required.

5. Content Review and Quality Control

• Review interviews, podcasts and other company video content produced with external partners and suppliers.

• Check content for accuracy, overall quality, brand consistency and alignment with the approved brief.

• Identify errors, inconsistencies or required changes and consolidate feedback for internal review.

• Coordinate feedback and revision rounds with the appropriate internal stakeholders and external partners.

• Ensure final materials have received the necessary approval before publication.

6. Corporate Gifting

• Support the coordination of corporate gifts for clients, suppliers, journalists and other key company stakeholders.

• Research and review gift options based on the agreed objectives, audience, budget and brand guidelines.

• Coordinate internal approvals, purchasing, recipient information and shipment logistics.

• Maintain an accurate tracker of orders, recipients, delivery status and costs.

• Follow up with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure gifts are delivered correctly and on time.

7. Administrative and Invoice Support

• Collect and send invoices to the Finance team for payment processing.

• Ensure invoices include the required information and supporting documentation before submission.

• Maintain clear records of submitted invoices and follow up on their status when necessary.

• Send media and supplier contracts to the Legal department or designated stakeholders for signature and review.

• Follow up on pending signatures, approvals and documentation.

• Keep contracts, invoices and related files organized and up to date.

8. Photo and Video Shoot Support

• Support the preparation and coordination of on-site photo and video shoots together with the Office Manager and relevant Marketing team members.

• Help prepare the office, meeting rooms, products, branded materials and other required spaces before each shoot.

• Coordinate practical requirements such as schedules, access, equipment areas and participant availability.

• Provide operational support during production when required.

• Help ensure the space and materials are ready according to the agreed brief and timeline.

Required Qualifications

• Currently studying or recently graduated in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Event Management, Business or a related field.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish is also required.

• Comfortable using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel or equivalent Google Workspace tools.

• Basic Canva skills and an interest in creating clear, on-brand visual materials.

• Ability to manage several tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

• Proactive, reliable and comfortable following up with different stakeholders.

• Willingness to learn and take ownership of recurring operational processes.

• Ability to handle internal information and documents with discretion.

• Interest in PR, communications, events and B2B marketing.

• Previous internship or academic experience in marketing, communications, events or administration is an advantage but not essential.

• Knowledge of the iGaming, technology or B2B sectors is considered an advantage.
