ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Lead Data Architect to design and evolve healthcare data architecture and lead database modernization initiatives across EMR, laboratory, pharmacy, and national health systems. You will define interoperability strategy using HL7 and FHIR standards, design REST API integration approaches, and support analytics and AI initiatives — working across SQL Server and PostgreSQL in a distributed systems environment. The role includes mentoring engineers and driving data quality and governance practices.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Design and evolve healthcare data architecture and data models;

- Lead database modernization, optimization, and scalability initiatives;

- Define healthcare interoperability strategy (HL7/FHIR);

- Design integration approaches for EMR, laboratory, pharmacy, and national health systems;

- Collaborate with engineering teams on architecture decisions;

- Support analytics, reporting, and future AI initiatives;

- Improve data quality, governance, and performance;

- Mentor engineers on database and integration best practices.

MUST HAVES

- 7+ years in Data Engineering , Data Architecture , or Solution Architecture ;

- Strong SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL experience;

- Experience with Non-SQL databases ;

- Enterprise data modeling experience;

- REST API and integration experience;

- Experience with distributed systems;

- Strong architecture and design skills;

- HL7 and/or FHIR ;

- Experience designing enterprise-grade database schemas and healthcare data models;

- Strong understanding of scalable software architecture and performance optimization;

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments;

- Experience with AI/ML tools to accelerate software development and testing;

- Upper-intermediate English level.

- Healthcare / EMR / EHR experience;

- Analytics or data warehouse experience;

- Public health or regulated industry experience.
