At Nebulab, we are on a mission to redefine eCommerce by leveraging our deep industry knowledge and unmatched technical expertise to create unique, impactful experiences. Our vision is to see all eCommerce brands use technology as a competitive advantage. We're building the consulting agency at the forefront of eCommerce. We've been around since 2011.
Current Status and Future Goals
Nebulab is a remote-first, dynamic consulting agency specializing in bespoke eCommerce solutions for international clients. We provide strategy, design, and development services. Technology-wise, we work with Shopify Plus, Solidus, Hydrogen & Remix, and many other exciting technologies. We also have extensive open-source experience. We are a small but agile team of around 30 people focused on delivering business value, consistently pushing the boundaries of what's possible in eCommerce.
Working Hours and Location
We embrace a fully remote culture with team members across the globe. We offer flexible working hours because we believe that great work can be done at any time of the day, as long as it's done with passion and commitment. The number of hours per day is agreed upon in the contract (generally 8 hours for a full-time role) but can be arranged according to each person's personal schedule.
Role Importance, Responsibilities, and Impact
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain robust eCommerce applications.
- Engage in all stages of the project lifecycle, from initial requirements to final delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and quality.
Impact:
- Lead initiatives that elevate our eCommerce solutions, ensuring our clients stay ahead in their industries.
- Run internal workshops and presentations to elevate the team's skills and knowledge to new levels, contributing to the continuous improvement of our development practices.
- Engage in open-source projects to give back to the community and drive the future of eCommerce technologies.
Timeline for Role Expectations
- First 3 months: Onboard and familiarize yourself with our tech stack and ongoing projects. Start contributing to small tasks and integrate with your team.
- 3-6 months: Take on larger projects, start leading initiatives, and demonstrate your impact on project delivery and client satisfaction.
- 6-12 months: Fully own major projects, mentor junior team members, and drive significant improvements and innovations in our technology and processes.
✏ About You Section
We are looking for someone who:
- Is equally passionate about building high-quality software and eCommerce.
- Communicates effectively with both teammates and clients.
- Is inclusive, community-driven, and eager to learn and share knowledge.
- Has production-level fullstack experience with React.
- Optional: Possesses past consulting or management experience.
- Optional: Is familiar with Ruby on Rails and the Solidus framework.
- Optional: Has experience with Shopify Plus and Hydrogen.
Compensation
A competitive compensation package:
- Base Salary: Guaranteed short-term pay based on individual growth. Standardized and geolocated to ensure fairness relative to the cost of living and local salary standards. Adjusted annually based on Nebulab's availability and market competitiveness, aiming to pay salaries between the fiftieth and seventy-fifth percentiles of industry standards.
- Company performance-based bonuses: Distributed annually based on specific growth and performance objectives.

Interview Process
- Application: Submit your application through our careers page.
- Initial Screen: A conversation to understand your background and fit for the role.
- Aptitude Test: An assessment to evaluate your cultural fit.
- Technical Test: A technical assessment to evaluate your coding and technical skills. This is also a take-home test.
- Pre-Offer Interview: A discussion with the leadership team about your potential impact and future at Nebulab.
- Offer: If all goes well, we'll extend a formal offer to join our team.
Note: We're against whiteboard interviews, all tests listed above are take-home tests.
