WHAT’S THE PROJECT ?

We're partnering with a well-established international food group with a strong presence across Ireland and the UK. Following years of success in multiple European markets, the company is now investing in an ambitious expansion strategy in Spain.
Their focus? Premium value-added food solutions for foodservice, wholesale, convenience and QSR customers.
This is not a traditional sales management role where you'll inherit a large customer portfolio and spend your days analysing reports.
Instead, you'll be the person leading the company's commercial growth in Spain, developing customer relationships, opening new accounts and helping build the future Spanish organisation.
As the business grows, you'll have the opportunity to recruit and develop your own local team, making this a genuine long-term leadership opportunity.
AND WHAT’S MY ROLE IN THIS ?
As Country Manager Spain, you will be responsible for launching and accelerating the company's value-added poultry business across the Spanish market.
You will act as the face of the business locally, driving commercial performance and developing strategic partnerships with foodservice wholesalers, distributors and cash & carry operators.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing the commercial strategy for Spain
- Identifying and securing new wholesale and foodservice customers
- Growing existing accounts and building long-term partnerships
- Managing negotiations, pricing discussions and commercial agreements
- Conducting regular customer visits across Spain
- Representing the business at industry events and trade fairs
- Providing market intelligence and competitor insights
- Collaborating closely with international teams across sales, supply chain and product development
- Supporting the future recruitment and development of a local Spanish team
OK, AND WHAT DO YOU NEED ?
We're looking for a true commercial hunter with strong industry knowledge and an entrepreneurial mindset.
You should bring:
- 10+ years of experience within foodservice, food manufacturing, frozen foods, poultry, dairy, ingredients or related sectors
- Proven experience selling into wholesalers, foodservice distributors or cash & carry networks
- A strong network within the Spanish foodservice ecosystem
- Demonstrated success in business development and new account acquisition
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Experience working autonomously and managing a national territory
- Native-level Spanish and professional English
- Willingness to travel extensively across Spain
Management experience is appreciated but not essential. The right commercial attitude and market network are more important.
