Senior Product Manager (Billing)

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a Product Manager for Engagement to lead one of the most critical parts of the Manychat user journey — helping users unlock the full value of our product once they’ve activated and built their first automations.

Manychat is evolving into an Instagram-first social CRM, and this role will be key to defining how users deepen their engagement across our three core product pillars: Automations, Inbox, and AI.

You’ll be responsible for shaping how users explore, adopt, and continuously benefit from Manychat — ensuring that each interaction feels relevant, personalized, and impactful. This means creating scalable experiences that adapt to different customer segments and growth stages, driving retention and long-term product love.

This is a highly cross-functional role that combines product thinking, experimentation, and customer insight to craft a personalized engagement loop that delights users and drives business outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Own and prioritize the Billing roadmap — pricing mechanics, packaging, subscription lifecycle, and refunds end-to-end.
• Shape and implement pricing and packaging strategy: plan usage based tiers, overage rules, and how they evolve as the products do.
• Own the subscription lifecycle — trials, upgrades, downgrades, migrations, cancellations, dunning, coupons.
• Envision and own the checkout experience and the post-purchase billing UI (billing settings, invoices, plan management) as first-class product surfaces.
• Build a strong, explicit partnership with the Growth team — clear ownership boundaries where Billing meets Growth
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Customer Support, Go to Market, Marketing to streamline deployments and understand pain points.
• Lead high-stakes migrations and launches with real revenue and trust risks — pricing model changes, new-market rollouts, introduction of new products.
• Track the outside world — competitor pricing and packaging, market conditions — and pull that signal into the roadmap instead of working off internal requests alone.
• Build the ownership model and documentation that keeps Billing legible to Engineering, Growth, and new teammates as the org scales.
• Own and measure key metrics such as conversion rates, involuntary churn, contact rate, costs and fees.
  

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• 5+ years of Product Management experience hands-on in billing, subscriptions, pricing/packaging, tax.
• A track record of owning ambiguous, cross-functional, high-stakes initiatives end-to-end, and actively seek out quantitative and/or qualitative feedback that challenges your own assumptions rather than confirms them.
• A deep, hands-on knowledge of product-led growth motions — plus a working understanding of sales-led growth. Manychat runs both, and pricing/billing sits at the intersection of the two.
• Experience designing personalized user journeys and cross-feature experiences.
• Ability to execute fast, prioritize effectively, and lead cross-functional teams toward measurable outcomes.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills — you can align teams around a clear vision of the user journey.
  

BONUS POINTS:

• Payments knowledge — PSPs Integration, mobile purchase flows/IAP, and multi-region payment strategy.
• Experience with tax engines or compliance tooling (e.g. Avalara) or global tax rollouts, ideally in high-complexity markets.
• Strong grasp of growth frameworks (e.g., engagement loops, habit formation, lifecycle triggers).
