Software Engineer (Frontend)

Overview

We are a Spanish pharmaceutical company engaged in the research and development, manufacturing and marketing of small molecules and biological medical products. We also use our sales channels to market licensed pharmaceutical products, imaging contrast agents and other products for hospital use, as well as OTC pharmaceuticals. All of this is carried out through a specialized sales team of more than 260 people who promote the products with medical professionals in hospitals and pharmacies.

In CellsIA we develop a software‑as‑medicinal‑device product to redefine pathology using artificial intelligence. From our hybrid hub in Madrid we drive science, data and product with a team focused on engineering excellence and product mindset. The ideal profile has a passion for clean code, constant feedback loops and Extreme Programming practices such as Pair Programming, TDD and Small Safe Steps.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to launch end‑to‑end features.
• Design, develop, and maintain intuitive, accessible web applications that scale in demanding clinical contexts.
• Practice code quality through unit and integration tests (vitest/jest), code reviews, CI/CD pipelines and observability (logs, metrics, alerts).
• Improve architecture and optimize performance and scalability of applications.
• Design and develop solid, reusable component systems with TypeScript, Vue3, PrimeVue, and Pinia.
• Enhance AI generativity autonomy and capability in software engineering.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience developing production‑ready frontend applications.
• Proficiency in Vue3 (and PrimeVue), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive‑design principles.
• Practical knowledge of OpenLayers.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).
• Functional English for collaboration with international partners.
• Valuable: experience with medical formats (e.g., DICOM).
• Experience in the healthcare sector or with high‑impact clinical products.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (Sentry, DataDog, or similar).
• Experience with context/harness engineering for generative AI.
