Your tasks and responsibilities:

• You conduct continuous screening of new IT technologies, trends, and innovations relevant to the healthcare sector, working closely with external experts and internal Subject Matter Experts.
• You evaluate and translate technologies into tangible proofs of concept and identify practical Use Cases to foster understanding and acceptance and to define potential application areas.
• You work in close collaboration with our internal Business Partner Managers and Business Use Case sponsors to gain an overview of requirements, both functional and non-functional, from the individual business units and to derive focus areas for innovation, automation and digitalization initiatives.
• You engage with IT Service Owners to understand their evolving priorities and challenges, identify automation potential, and translate these insights into carefully architected innovative solutions and automation roadmaps ensuring continuous service improvement and business value creation.
• You plan, facilitate, and deliver innovation formats (e.g., ideation workshops, design sprints, hackathons, tech talks) with interdisciplinary teams.
• You participate in enterprise-wide Digital Community Calls as a central platform for cross-functional collaboration, including strategic updates on digital transformation, technology insights, digital use cases, best practices, and regulatory developments.

Your qualifications and experience:

• You hold a completed Degree in Business Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science or equivalent.  Master’s Degree in similar fields is a plus.
• You bring several years of professional experience in the IT domain, including as a Technology Innovator, Prototyping Professional, Software Developer, and Business Analyst.
• You possess strong, proven capabilities in technology screening and scouting, enabling you to identify, categorize, and assess relevant technologies at an early stage.
• You are passionate about digital technologies with several years of relevant technical experience in IT, AI, automation, or data-driven projects.
• You have proven experience designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions and automation workflows, ideally in combination with AI components.
• You have demonstrated experience in designing concepts and successfully introducing them within an IT environment.

Your attributes and skills:

• As you will be working in an international environment, very good written and spoken English skills are mandatory; German language skills are a plus.
• Your communication and presentation skills allow you to convey complex topics clearly, comprehensibly, and convincingly.
• You are a superior listener.
• You demonstrate a high level of initiative, take ownership, think flexibly, and are characterized by a strong hands on mentality, excellent problem solving skills, and strategic, entrepreneurial thinking.
• You have a strong affinity for both current and emerging technology, AI, and automation.  You continuously monitor technological trends and can align market innovations with business-relevant requirements in a targeted manner.

• You actively maintain expansive internal and external networks of strong relationships to ensure intra-organizational collaboration as well as focused trend scouting and early access to relevant innovations.
• You are a critical thinker, able to effectively question the status quo while being able to and see though the hype and hysteria surrounding new technology.  You must focus on source information research and organizational applicability only coming to decisions after thorough research.
