Could you be the full-time Software Designer (CBTC) in Madrid we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your signalling expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside young and proactive teammates.

You’ll participate in the application design and development pertaining to train control signalling solution. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering), sevelop subsystem requirements and designs based on system-level designs and requirements and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of implementing the software design, including unit tests to verify that the software is correct and complete , but also coordinating peer reviews of the software development artefacts and take part in peer reviews requested by others.

All about you

• B.S in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other engineering discipline.
• 3-5 years’ experience developing software. Rail transportation industry preferred.
• Good knowledge in software development principles.
• Good knowledge and experience in software implementation (.NET, Visual Basic, Visual C++, C/C++).
• Good knowledge of object-oriented design.
• Experience working with the Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with software development tools such as .NET, VB6, Visual C++, Eclipse, Git, GitLab, Gerrit, DOORS, Jenkins.
• Availability to work nightshift and weekends (occasionally).
• Sometimes travel will be required, in special during the preliminary design and commissioning phase of the project (20-30%).
