The Role

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer with solid, hands-on experience in electrical/electronic checkout (EE-Check) and End-of-Line Testing (EOLT) to own the final testing processes of our battery packs and electric motorcycles. You will be responsible for the definition, validation, and continuous improvement of all electrical test stations, from high-voltage safety tests to functional verification, ECU/BMS flashing, and diagnostics, ensuring that every product leaving the line is safe, functional, and fully traceable. Experience in battery or EV manufacturing is strongly preferred.

What You’ll Do

• Own the EE-Check and EOLT processes end to end: test strategy, test coverage definition, station specifications, and process documentation.

• Define and maintain electrical safety test procedures for HV battery packs: hipot/dielectric strength, insulation resistance, continuity, and HV interlock verification.

• Develop, implement, and optimize functional test sequences hands-on: BMS communication and diagnostics (CAN/UDS), sensor verification, charge/discharge validation, capacity and internal resistance checks — including test software/sequence changes under version control.

• Manage ECU/BMS flashing and parameterization processes at end of line, including software/parameter version control and traceability.

• Specify, qualify, and commission EOL test equipment and test benches with suppliers: URS/FDS definition, FAT/SAT, correlation studies, and Gauge R&R / measurement system analysis.

• Perform process validation and qualification for new test stations and product variants — IQ (Installation Qualification), OQ (Operational Qualification), and PQ (Performance Qualification.

• Define pass/fail criteria and test limits in collaboration with R&D, Quality, and Homologation; manage limit changes under engineering change control.

• Analyze test data and first-pass yield: identify failure Pareto, drive root cause analysis (8D) on recurring EOL failures, and reduce false rejects.

• Ensure full t raceability integration of test results into MES and data systems (test records, serial number binding, batch genealogy).

• Support production on escalated EOLT issues: complex diagnostics, retest strategies, and disposition of failed units.

• Standardize test processes across lines and product generations; document work instructions and train technicians and engineers.

• Drive continuous improvement: cycle time reduction, test coverage vs. takt trade-offs, predictive analysis of test data

What you will bring to Stark

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of experience in test or manufacturing engineering, with solid hands-on expertise in EE-Check and/or End-of-Line Testing.

• Strong knowledge of electrical safety testing for HV products: hipot, insulation resistance, grounding/continuity, and applicable standards (e.g., ECE R100, IEC/EN safety requirements).

• Experience with vehicle/battery communication and diagnostics : CAN bus, UDS (ISO 14229), diagnostic tools (Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, PCAN, or similar).

• Experience with ECU or BMS flashing processes in series production Proven track record specifying and commissioning test benches / EOL testers with external suppliers (FAT/SAT, correlation, capability studies).

• Solid grounding in electrical measurement fundamentals: working with DMMs, programmable power supplies, electronic loads, and DAQ systems; understanding of measurement accuracy, resolution, and uncertainty.

• Solid grounding in quality and validation methodology: PFMEA, control plans, MSA / Gauge R&R, SPC, 8D.

• Ability to analyze large test datasets and drive data-based decisions

• English: mandatory (working language for documentation and supplier communication)

Nice to Have

• Spanish language skills, or willingness to learn.

• Direct experience in battery pack or EV manufacturing (strongly preferred).

• Knowledge of BMS architecture, cell balancing, and battery electrical parameters (OCV, DCIR, capacity).

• Scripting/analysis skills (Python, SQL) for test data analysis.

• Experience with test automation frameworks or sequencers (NI TestStand/LabVIEW, or custom Python/C#-based test software).

• Experience with PLC-controlled test stations (Siemens, Beckhoff) and MES integration.

• Knowledge of leak testing methods for sealed battery enclosures Familiarity with functional safety concepts (ISO 26262) as applied to production testing.
