to join our core engineering team and help us build and scale one of the most ambitious Retail Intelligence platforms in the market.

This is a

deep technical role , for people who genuinely enjoy

building software , thinking about architecture, and getting involved not only in code but also in

We crawl

over a billion datapoints per week , process and normalize massive volumes of messy retail data, and turn that into structured intelligence used by global brands.

As a

Senior Backend Engineer , your mission is to design, build and evolve the systems that: Collect and process massive volumes of raw data with our own crawling infrastructure Normalize, relate and enrich millions of products across markets with complex data pipelines Power our proprietary BI suite, analytics and AI-driven insights using LLMs and Agents Scale reliably as customers, use cases and data volumes grow You will have a

direct impact on product quality, system scalability, data intelligence and Flipflow’s long-term technical foundation .

‍ What will you do?

Design, build and maintain

core backend services and APIs

— PHP/Laravel as the main framework, with TypeScript, Python and Go across different services. Build and operate

large-scale data pipelines

— ingest data from hundreds of crawled sources, transform and normalize it, and deliver it reliably to our OLAP engine so clients see fresh, accurate data every day. Contribute to and improve our

distributed crawling infrastructure

— tens of millions of daily requests, thousands of parallel browsers, proxy management, session handling and anti-detection systems, all built in-house. Work on

event-driven and streaming systems

— message queues, async processing, real-time data flows. You’ll ensure data moves efficiently from collection to delivery at scale. Jump between codebases, languages and layers

as needed — from Terraform to TypeScript to PHP to Go. If something is broken or needs building, you own it regardless of where it lives.

Your Profile

5+ years of experience

in Backend, Full-stack or Data Engineering roles. Data pipeline engineering

— you've built systems that ingest, transform and deliver large volumes of data reliably. Not analytics or dashboards — the plumbing that makes data flow from source to client. Event-driven architecture

— message queues (Pub/Sub, SQS, Kafka), async job processing, streaming. You've built systems where millions of events flow through multiple stages without losing data. Comfortable across the full stack

— you don't need permission to jump into a new codebase, language or layer. If it's broken, you fix it. If it needs building, you build it.

⬆️ Nice to Have

Stream processing

(Apache Flink, Kafka Streams) — building and operating real-time data flows, not just consuming them. Web scraping at scale

— distributed crawling, browser automation, proxy management. You've dealt with the chaos of collecting data from hundreds of sources. Kubernetes + IaC

(Terraform/OpenTofu) — you can own the deployment, not just the code. Helm, ArgoCD, GCP/AWS. OLAP / time-series databases

— ingestion, partitioning, performance tuning for analytical workloads.
