Program Lead II, Clinical Program Development

AbbVie seeks a Program Lead II to direct clinical research program execution, bridging scientific strategy with operational delivery across multiple global studies. The role combines strategic planning, budget management, and team leadership to advance pharmaceutical pipeline assets from initiation through completion.
Responsibilities
- Develop clinical operational strategy ensuring program execution meets quality, efficiency, timeline, and budget targets
- Translate asset strategy into operational plans connecting science, business, operations, and patients
- Identify program-level risks and develop mitigation strategies to achieve asset objectives
- Manage external budgets across portfolio spanning 20-200 million dollars per program
- Lead, mentor, and develop study managers and staff to foster inclusive, innovative learning environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or scientific field; Associate's degree with R.N. and relevant experience acceptable
- 12+ years pharma or clinical research experience
- 8+ years clinical research experience with demonstrated core, technical, and leadership competencies
- Proven ability leading global teams managing multiple complex clinical studies
- Demonstrated successful coaching, mentoring, and people management capabilities
- Subject matter expertise in ICH, GCP, global regulations, and compliance standards
- Experience across multiple study phases (Phase 1-4) from initiation to primary data analysis
