Manager, Clinical Trial Safety

IQVIA seeks a Manager for Clinical Trial Safety in Madrid to lead a team managing medical data review and clinical safety evaluation. The role combines line management, clinical data oversight, and strategic program-level input across studies.

Responsibilities

• Line manage team members, conduct regular check-ins, support performance development and goal setting
• Oversee medical and safety data review processes, ensuring scientific quality and standardization across studies
• Lead work allocation, resource management, and cross-functional collaboration on clinical projects
• Mentor junior staff and drive consistent processes for critical medical data handling and coding accuracy
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, performance review, and ensure compliance with corporate policies and training

Requirements

• Advanced degree in medical or life science field
• Minimum 3 years clinical research, pharmacovigilance, safety, or clinical data review experience
• Deep knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines, drug development process, and SAE reporting requirements
• Proven project management skills with ability to handle competing priorities and multi-task effectively
• Leadership capability with experience supervising teams and facilitating collaboration across functions
• Excellent spoken and written English in scientific contexts; strong computer proficiency
