This role can be based in the following AWS office locations: London, Frankfurt, Madrid or Dublin.
Job OverviewThe AWS Infrastructure Energy Team (IET) seeks a results‑oriented individual to join as Grid Delivery Manager. This role is responsible for delivering large‑scale critical HV/MV grid interconnection projects within EMEA under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities- Deliver large‑scale critical HV/MV grid interconnection projects within EMEA under tight deadlines.
- Lead communication with diverse teams (design engineering, construction, planning, environmental, real estate) to ensure delivery to tight timelines.
- Stakeholder management and weekly reporting on key project risks & issues to senior management, director and vice‑president level.
- Drive grid infrastructure delivery program, standardize processes, develop tools for delivery execution and support financial budgeting.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management or a similar technical focus.
- 5+ years’ experience delivering HV/MV infrastructure projects/programs from design to energization.
- Experience building and cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with partial information and high levels of ambiguity; willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Experience analyzing cost/benefit trade‑offs across a strategic portfolio.
- Experience working in data centers or critical infrastructure.
- Master’s degree (MBA/MS) and/or PMP certification.
- Experience designing substations or other energy infrastructure.
- Experience working for utilities and with energy regulators.
- Ability to communicate in additional languages.
