The Role

We are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join Kyndryl's Applications, Data & AI (ADAI) practice and lead the end-to-end technology architecture of complex enterprise transformation projects.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can connect business objectives with scalable, secure, and modern technology solutions. You will be responsible for translating functional and non-functional requirements into clear architectures, guiding delivery teams, and ensuring solutions are technically sound, feasible, operable, and aligned with client outcomes.

You will work across applications, data, cloud, integration, AI, automation, and operations, helping clients modernize their technology landscape and accelerate business value.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for Applications, Data and AI projects.
• Translate business, functional, and technical requirements into scalable solution designs and delivery roadmaps.
• Define and validate non-functional requirements, including performance, security, resilience, scalability, observability, compliance, and operational readiness.
• Design modern architectures across applications, data platforms, cloud services, APIs, integrations, analytics and AI.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership to engineering and delivery teams during implementation.
• Create architecture blueprints, technical designs, integration patterns, migration strategies, and implementation guidance.
• Participate in technical workshops, proof-of-concepts, architecture reviews, and design validation sessions.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, delivery challenges, and modernization opportunities.
• Promote reusable patterns, automation, secure-by-design principles, governance, and engineering excellence.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams on architecture and technology decisions.

Who You Are

Required Experience

• 7+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Enterprise Architect, Cloud Architect, Application Architect, Data Architect, Lead Engineer, or similar role.
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions.
• Strong knowledge of modern application architectures, cloud platforms, data platforms, APIs, integration patterns, and distributed systems.
• Experience defining both functional and non-functional requirements for complex technology solutions.
• Strong understanding of scalability, resilience, security, observability, performance, compliance, and operational readiness.
• Practical experience with cloud-native architectures on Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with application modernization, migration, integration, data platforms, analytics, AI enablement, or automation initiatives.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions, workshops, and architecture reviews.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Experience with microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, containers, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of data lakes, data warehouses, lakehouse patterns, streaming, ETL/ELT, governance, and analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with AI and GenAI enablement, MLOps, responsible AI, and enterprise AI adoption patterns.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, DataOps, SRE, observability, automation, and cloud cost optimization.
