Offer Description
The Renal Gene Therapy group, part of the Gene Therapy for Rare Diseases program and led by Dr. Rafael Aldabe, is seeking to recruit a predoctoral researcher for the project \"Engineering of AAV vectors for the gene therapy treatment of polycystic kidney disease: adaptation to disease progression,\" funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (MICIU) **** I+D PID***********OB-I00.
The project will focus on analyzing genetic perturbations affecting the development of autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease, using in vivo gene editing tools, AAV vectors, scRNA-seq, and bioinformatic analysis of single-cell results to identify elements that regulate disease progression.
The research group in which this project will be carried out is led by Dr. Gloria González-Aseguinolaza, and the project will be directed by Dr. Rafael Aldabe.
An FPI contract/fellowship is offered for a duration of 4 years.

Mandatory: Master's degree in Bioinformatics
Previous experience (yes), at least 3 months of hands-on experience in a molecular biology laboratory, and experience working with AAVs
