Business Controller

Passionate about turning financial data into strategic decisions? We're looking for a Business Controller to join a leading industrial and technology group in Spain, working on large-scale, multi-year projects.

The Mission

You will act as a strategic financial partner to the organization, ensuring rigorous financial governance, data-driven decision-making, and full alignment between project economics and business objectives. You'll bring end-to-end financial oversight — from early-stage gate reviews to project closure.

What You'll Do

• Develop financial forecasts, budgets, and performance reviews
• Monitor deviations, margins, and financial KPIs, enabling proactive corrective actions
• Support operational, engineering, and commercial teams with financial insights and strategic analysis
• Align project and business-unit objectives with corporate strategy
• Deliver accurate, timely financial reporting through ERP systems and consolidation tools
• Support internal and external audit requirements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
• Oversee financial performance from gate approval through execution and final delivery
• Coordinate cost control, revenue recognition, cash flow monitoring, and key project milestones
• Identify financial, contractual, and currency-related risks, ensuring robust mitigation plans
• Drive digital transformation initiatives within controlling and reporting activities

What We're Looking For

• Proven background in financial management within industrial, engineering, or technology-driven environments
• Experience supporting large-scale or multi-year project portfolios
• Prior experience working on projects with Public Administration (required)
• Native Spanish and fluent English
• Strong command of financial controlling, accounting, budgeting, and reporting
• Proficiency in ERP systems, data integration tools, and advanced financial modelling

Location: Leganés (Madrid) | 2 days remote per week
