About the role

We’re looking for a Business Analyst / Product Owner to join international banking projects focused on Risk & Compliance architectures within complex financial environments.

This role acts as a bridge between business and technology, translating business requirements into scalable functional solutions while supporting delivery across distributed teams in international environments.

The position requires strong experience in banking ecosystems, especially around core banking, risk and compliance processes, combined with solid analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Translate business needs into user stories, epics and functional specifications.
• Collaborate closely with development teams during solution design and delivery.
• Validate functional solutions before deployment and support release activities.
• Participate in testing processes including UAT and functional testing.
• Analyse issues through logs and basic database queries.
• Support planning and delivery of modules or full functional domains.
• Work collaboratively with international teams across Spain and Mexico.

Requirements

• +4 years of experience as Business Analyst and/or Product Owner.
• Strong experience in banking environments.
• Experience working with:
  • Core Banking systems
  • Risk & Compliance domains (AML, credit risk, collections)
• Experience in Agile environments.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience writing user stories, epics and acceptance criteria.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with both business and technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with decision engines such as Modellica, Provenir or Experian.
• Knowledge of AML tools like Norkom or FCM.
• Experience integrating credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian).
• Participation in core banking transformation programs.
• Experience in digital banking environments.
• Familiarity with delivery tools such as Bitbucket, Bamboo or Harness.
• Basic SQL and database querying skills.
