About You

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent relevant work experience.
• At least 6 years of industry experience in Java (Spring Boot) and NodeJS, and in developing backend RESTful services within a microservices architecture.
• Experience with SQL, Elastic Search, and AWS.
• Good knowledge and understanding of version‑control tools (preferably Git).
• Experience working within an Agile delivery environment.
• Experience running services in Docker.
• Experience using Jenkins.

What You Will Be Doing

Design, develop, and maintain Java backend services and APIs in a microservices architecture. Build scalable, secure, and high‑performance solutions using Java and Spring Boot. Deploy and operate cloud‑native applications on AWS, using Docker and CI/CD pipelines. Write clean, well‑tested, and well‑documented code, following backend best practices. Troubleshoot, optimise, and maintain existing systems to ensure reliability and performance. Collaborate cross‑functionally with front‑end, QA, DevOps, and product teams.

About the Team

You will be part of a team of six talented Software and QA engineers, working in close collaboration with a Solution Analyst, UX Designer, and Product Owner. As part of our Agile processes, you’ll play an active role in developing and delivering Cortellis Drug Discovery.

Hours of Work

This is a full‑time, permanent position based in our Barcelona office (just a short walk from the Sagrada Família), with a hybrid working model.
