Job Overview

HSEQ Manager – Barcelona site, Spain.

Responsible for ensuring Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) across all operations, aligning policies, standards, and best practices with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the HSE strategy, goals, and objectives, identifying KPIs to measure progress and drive continuous improvement.
• Establish and communicate HSE policies and procedures that align with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring organization-wide adherence.
• Stay current with evolving HSE regulations, laws, and industry best practices to maintain compliance and lead permit and certification efforts.
• Identify and assess potential risks to employee health, safety, environment, and product quality; implement risk management strategies and contingency plans.
• Plan and conduct regular audits and inspections to evaluate adherence to HSE standards and policies; coordinate corrective actions.
• Establish systems to monitor and measure HSE performance, prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, improvement areas, and recommendations.
• Oversee design and delivery of training programs that educate employees at all levels about HSE requirements, safe work practices, environmental stewardship, and quality control measures.
• Lead incident investigations to determine root causes of accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• University degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field, or equivalent qualification with relevant work experience.
• Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline.
• Certified Higher Technician in Occupational Risk Prevention with specialization in Industrial Hygiene, and complementary Safety or Ergonomics.
• 5–10 years of experience in HSE roles within industrial, chemical, manufacturing, or related environments.
• Language proficiency: Spanish – C2 / Native; English – B2 or higher (spoken and written).

Salary

€75,000 – €80,000 gross annually, commensurate with experience.
