HR Plant Manager

Your role:As Plant HR Manager (m/f/d), you will lead the HR function for two key manufacturing sites in Spain, serving as a strategic advisor to local leadership teams and a champion for employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. You will guide approximately 550+ employees through an evolving business environment while ensuring excellent HR service delivery, strong employee relations, and sustainable business performance across the Guardamar del Segura battery plant and the Ibi poly plant.The position will be based at the Clarios battery plant in Guardamar del Segura in Spain.Key Responsibilities:Represent the EMEA HR function at plant level, providing strategic HR leadership and ensuring alignment between regional HR strategy and local business execution while acting as the primary HR business partner to the Plant Manager.Overall responsibility for all HR processes at the site, including temporary labor, recruiting, talent development, employee relations, labor law compliance, payroll and HR administrationLeadership and development of the local HR teamsEstablish and maintain a strong HR Business Partner role for the Plant Manager while representing the EMEA HR organization at site, ensuring regional HR strategies, standards, and initiatives are effectively implemented locallyDesign and implementation of a future-oriented HR agenda in the context of growth, organizational development, and leadership cultureConfident and solution-oriented collaboration with the Works CouncilOverall governance of the payroll agendaEnsuring discipline and managerial accountability within the production environment together with the leadership teamStrengthening, refining, and continuously supervising existing compensation, benefits, and performance management systems.Supporting employee engagement, company culture, and internal communicationActive involvement in cross-functional, international HR projects (HR digitalization, process efficiency, leadership development)Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:University degree in HR, Law, Economics, Business Administration, or a related fieldSolid years of experience as HR Manager / HR Lead in an industrial production environment, ideally automotive environmentAdvanced working knowledge of labor law and its practical application.Proven track record in transformation or change processes, ideally involving cultural and/or structural changeExperience working with Works Councils and confidence in handling labor law mattersIdeally, experience in building or scaling HR structures in growing organizationsFluency in Spanish and English languageA strong leader with a cooperative mindset, bringing clarity, structure, and energy to the teamStrong interpersonal skills and assertiveness – credible on the shopfloor as well as within the management teamAbility to think strategically while reliably managing operational HR processesWhat we offer youAs a technology leader with strong brands (i.e. VARTA and OPTIMA), Clarios notably lives on the creativity, capability and satisfaction of its employees.
