About the role

As a Staff Software Engineer on the Platform Connectivity team, you’ll play a crucial role in architecting and developing systems that enable the platform to grow through streamlined data flows and support for multi-brand experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering leaders, product managers, and key stakeholders to build scalable, reusable infrastructure that enhances the customer journey and drives long-term platform success.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide implementation strategy, mentor other engineers, and play a major part in shaping the architecture of the integration layer. You’ll collaborate across functions to help define the roadmap and ensure successful delivery of key initiatives.

Tech stack

While the team works primarily with technologies such as React, React Native, Python, and Django, this role values adaptability and depth over specific tools. A strong grasp of software architecture, relational databases, and scalable system design is essential.

What will you do

• Lead the technical design and delivery of integration features that enable platform growth and brand expansion.

• Mentor and support the career development of other engineers on your team.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and product managers to align technical solutions with business goals.

• Influence architectural direction and set high standards for code quality and testing practices.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to design intuitive and secure user experiences.

• Help shape a culture of knowledge sharing, technical curiosity, and accountability.

• Contribute directly to the implementation of high-impact projects using modern web or mobile technologies.

Ideally you bring

• 10+ years of experience in software development, ideally building user-facing applications.

• Experience working with modern web or mobile stacks (e.g., React, React Native, Django, Python).

• Strong background in relational database design and API development.

• Experience leading complex, cross-team projects with significant technical depth.

• Excellent problem-solving and system design skills.

• Comfort working with ambiguity and shaping requirements with cross-functional stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor others and foster a learning-oriented engineering culture.

• Commitment to software best practices, including automated testing, maintainability, and performance.
