In this role you will operate and scale the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) to deliver highly available AWS services for EU customers. You’ll collaborate with global AWS teams to influence service evolution and improve availability, latency, and efficiency. You will work on the largest software systems, handling operational health, change management, and backlog resolution, while contributing automation that speeds issue resolution. The opportunity combines hands-on engineering with cross-functional impact in a mission-critical, customer-focused cloud environment.

Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Oversee ongoing operations and expansion of the ESC, coordinating with global AWS teams
• Monitor operational health and drive improvements in availability, reliability, latency, and performance
• Document root causes and publish actionable bug reports after anomalies
• Follow change management processes for production changes
• Resolve backlog of operational issues and contribute to process improvements
• Develop and share automation scripts to accelerate root-cause analysis
• Participate in on-call rotations to handle incidents outside business hours

Responsabilidades
• Experience in Linux OS and network troubleshooting
• Experience in scripting with Python, Perl, or similar
• EU national residing in the EU and fluent in English
• Strong foundation in systems xqbhyrx engineering or site reliability engineering
• Experience operating 24x7 high-availability, distributed software applications
• Knowledge of CI/CD, IaC, and DevOps practices
• Ability to follow operational best practices and SOPs
